Thinking Like a Business Owner Not A Consumer

Today I had an interesting thing happening to me I would write about. Discussing a business with a friend of mine I discovered that the only reason why he was not going to join a particular business was the fact that he did not like the taste of the product involved in that kind of business opportunity.
I would like to address this today because I’m quite convinced that this is a kind of foolishness that a lot of people have. I’m also convinced of that fact that one should be able to overcome that kind of foolish perception. Here is what I mean:
When you are looking at participating in a business, therefore in something which is designed to provide you some extra income and ultimately financial freedom, you don’t want to filter that decision based on what your tongue is telling you, do you?

On the other hand, I surely do understand why he tends to think in such direction. Like many others, he’s got that voice inside telling him “you have to believe in the product in order to sell the product”.
Let me be blunt regarding this assumption by saying that it’s just not smart to see things in this way! It’s not smart business too!

Let’s assume that you don’t like McDonalds. I mean the restaurant chain McDonalds. Well, I don’t like most part of the food being sold there, neither the way most of it taste nor the implications it could have on my health. But I can guarantee you one thing: If I had the money to own a McDonalds franchise I not only would buy one but I would also never walk into my own restaurant in order to food there! That’s because it is not about ME! It’s about the fact that I know that McDonalds would nearly guarantee my success just because of its most successful franchise concept – worldwide!

In fact, if you do a bit of research you’ll find that Mr. Raymond Albert Kroc – “Ray Kroc” – wasn’t thinking about selling burgers, fries and shakes when he set up his first McDonald’s restaurant. The truth being he was selling a SYSTEM to Business Owners. It is the SYSTEM to produce results that matters, not how i.e. the food tastes and whoever thinks otherwise is thinking like a consumer not like a businessperson.

A completely different thing would be stocking someone’shelfs at home with some kind of product intended to be consumed by his/ her own family. In this case, of course, the way the products taste and other different aspects do matter. When it comes to business, it does NOT. The key question being can this business generate me money? If the answer should be YES then I would recommend to everybody I know not to make a foolish decision based on what someone’s tongue has to say!

Just think like a business owner and you go much, much further. When looking for a solution that will create lasting results in your life, you’ve got to think like a business owner, not like a consumer. THAT alone will be a solid brick in the process of building up your prosperity.

Where Do Your Success Strategies Come From?

Friends,

I wanted to send you out a brief message this morning, which is actually a personal question to you:

Where do your success strategies come from? Most of us have been using strategies all of our lives
and we’ve not been aware that we’ve been picking up information from our peers, from our family, from our teachers, from our community and we’ve been acting strategies of failure or strategies that don’t produce the result that we want. That is why something is missing, we have not achieved everything that we want, we keep doing the same things over and over and over again and we wonder why things aren’t changing.

Most of us are unconscious to the fact that we have patterns in our lives that we do repeatedly and we don’t even realize that we are doing it and why we are doing it.
All it takes is learning and figuring out and declaring the result, the outcome the experience that you’re looking to create for yourself and then finding a model, finding a person, finding someone else that have achieved that result and then learning the strategy that they’ve used to produce that result. Then you can duplicate that strategy.

You can duplicate that process, you can take the specifics steps that that person took dayin and day out – moment by moment – by doing the things that they did and hopefully producing a result that is very similar to that you thought that you would then achieve.

The problem is that most of us learn the strategies that someone else has passed and we think that this is eventually the most successful strategy out there, we do not really take the time to look and ask ourselves the question: Is it that I’m doing giving me the results that I want? If it IS just keep doing what you are doing and you can stop reading this now. But if it is not, well you’ve got to find a new strategy, you’ve got to try something new! Find it from a person who is getting the results that you want. From the company that is getting the results that you want or from the group who is getting the results that you want and learn their strategies, master their strategies to the point from where you can share those strategies with somebody else.

Then you will too receive the results that you want!

So all I want to know is where did YOU get those strategies from? Are they working for you?

Winning Sales Habits

I asked a sommelier a friend of mine what is the most important time of the year for a vineyard he said right after the harvest. When the harvest is over it IS over. The vine shows pumice or it does not. However, what is really import is to figure out how to make the vine better for the next year. The other important thing is how I put that vineyard to bed. That is the most important time of the year because it becomes the building block for the next year’s vintage.

In sales just like the vineyard after harvest the debrief right after the sales call or appointment is incredibly important. One has to ask himself why it went wrong. Or why did it go right? How do I change it? What are the facts? Where were my emotions during the sales? What do I tell myself after the defeat? Or what do I tell myself after the victory?

Two important points in fact!

We never seem to ask ourselves why things go right. Look, this is how I see this: if I understand why it went right I could habitualize what I did, that was right and I get into the habit of doing things right all the time.

We always beat ourselves up on the things that went wrong. In order to be an optimist it is imperative to practice it. An optimist is a person who tells himself a goof story after the defeat. It is a positive way of explaining a negative result.

Among the many lessons, I was able to learn in one of the various, really priceless Webinars given by members of our team was the following one:

Sales people who score high on the optimistic test outsold everybody else at midlife at 88%. I asked one of those people who was top-of-the-table, not only of a million-dollar-round-table but he is top of the insurance industry. Top 20 actually. I said you do not loose many sales I will bet but what happens when you do loose the sale? What do you say yourself? He says I know they have a bad day! Further, he said I keep calling until they have a good day!

THAT is what I call an optimist!

Being An Entrepreneur

I sometimes get asked, „Marc, how do you feel being an entrepreneur seeing your vision coming into apparition?” Well, that is a great question. I can only imagine that is the same thing when a parent nourishes his child or sees his five-year-old on stage singing in kindergarten. Or an artist when he sees his painting on a wall or in a museum or anything else.

I mean it was a creation that I envisioned that a lot o people in my surroundings – even in my own family – thought to be impossible. Does it sound familiar to you?

As a matter of fact, any Entrepreneur that has built and birthed and created a successful business or a floundering business that to have it out there regardless of its ‘success’ whether you want to measure that in monetary terms or in its impact on the world.

To me it is an extension of who I am.

That is the decisive moment: when we get the essence of who we are and what we are here for to create. The answer to these and other questions lead me irrefutably clear. An Entrepreneur was born.

I remember the day when a good friend of mine, Edgar Geffroy said something that really humbled me. He said if you want to have a successful life, you have to do three things:

The first one is to figure out what you want to do. Well, I said, that is cool. We all would love doing what we want to do anyway, right?

The second thing is what you do better than anyone else out there does. It might be computer programming, it may be singing, it may be organizing people, it may be writing, it may be speaking, it may be marketing. It could be anything. What do you want to do? What do you do better than anybody else does

Then the third thing, he said, for having a successful life is figure out how you can do what you love to do, do what you’re better than anyone else, then ask yourself how can you serve the most amount of people out there?

I love entrepreneurship! I love being happy! I love being able to do what I love to do and having an positive impact on other people’s lives…what turned out to be a vehicle for wealth creation for myself! And herein lies exactly the secret!

Therefore, I found a way to do that and my hoping is showing YOU reading my blog right now that you are an entrepreneur too.

In Fact that is my very conviction that if you are still reading this blog, you are from my point of view also an entrepreneur. Whether you have your business or not! Sincerely. If I ask, you are you an entrepreneur. You not having a business yet – you by just being still on my page here show me that you might have the desire to be an entrepreneur too.

I am so grateful that I was able to put together the resources needed to make a difference. In fact, I was thought that the ultimate greatest resource is resourcefulness: May I have the money? May I have the relationships? May I have…al that sort of bla-bla-bla-bla…

Understand this: ALL you need IS resourcefulness and you can create, you can be, you can do, yes, you can have everything that you want in life.

Today I am so grateful for all the wonderful relationships to so many people, which are developing and growing as a team. Who are open minded to see all the infinite possibilities in our industry.

Being Focused

Focus really is one of the KEY competitive advantages that we have.

And the main reason for that is that we are trying to find businesses that we can enter into them, albeit there is a lot of bad news around…

What is giving us the courage and the wisdom to go in and crush it? Well, by having spare time with the awesome members of our team with all those incredible skilled but instead very ‘human’ dudes who have joined our team, who came to lead and are indeed continuously leading helping all of us to make the difference in this business…making a difference for a legacy. I do mean nothing lesser then that! In addition to being focused.

By having focus AND by THAT’s what give us …does not matter WHAT kind of business we are dealing with: Our techniques are universally applicable and one of a kind. You bet!

Anything to say about the competitors in the market place? What would you think if I would tell you that they just do not exist at all in our arena?

Yes, that is right, because we are so many light years ahead of everything that ‘main stream,’ can provide right now that it is so as if they not exist for uns.

Therefore, we can keep absolutely laser focused on what we are doing, expanding, crushing it, and winning the MLM game!

When there are a lot of bad news surrounding the industry and most of the market is at its most fearful level.

So we do believe that focus and spending all this time doing our home work through research BEFORE we actually go for it is what is what gives us that incomparable edge, that is one of the KEY attributes why we are so successful…month after month after month…
