Network Marketing Professionals

Quite frankly, there are many misconceptions on what makes someone a Professional in the arena of Network Marketing.

As I first started in the arena of network marketing seven years ago, I was just overwhelmed by details and did not know how to separate the essential, substantial aspects from the lesser important ones. However, my problems were certainly not a bit different from the problems I see all kind of people having too. The bottom line being that people usually do not understand what the basics, the principles are behind the success of a truly professional working in this area. I would like to give you an example: Instead of recruiting and retailing – which are the ONLY TWO THINGS we in our industry get paid for – they keep on wasting their time with minor essential tasks. I mean tasks like checking their emails, lifting up their back offices and a series of other activities, which all together are a kind of subconscious ‘running away’ from what people know they should be doing.

Where do I know that for sure? Well, I was one of them, behaving exactly as above described! You may be asking know, how I did ever changed that in order to become a professional? In order to better explain I would like to use an analogy: becoming a Professional in Network Marketing is something I would like to compare with becoming a Professional Football Player. Why do I think so?

I’m convinced that this comparison could help you to arise to the levels of a real professional – in which area of your life what so ever. In fact, I used to play football back in High School as many of you (guys) probably did, and you may remember the days where you had to sit down in front of a team to watch a film about the adversary team before you played against them. It’s clear that the intention behind that was to learn about the strengths and also the weaknesses of the challenger. It was all about how to ‘exploit’ their weaknesses, to understand how to get an edge over those we were going to play against. It was all about winning.

As you can imagine, the same thing is done pretty much in all areas where there is a competition to be won. How exactly does that relate to Network Marketing? Very simple. You as a professional need to understand your competition, you’ve got to understand their strengths and weaknesses so you can take advantage of that knowledge for your own benefit. Let us take just as an example a company called Pre-Paid Legal. Again, I will use this company just as an example to illustrate my point, so please do not take this offensive if you are personally involved in that company.

Pre-Paid Legal has been around for a while, is a very legitimate company with a straight record so it would be perfectly fine signing up with them. However, the weakness that I would pin point if I were targeting it is the fact that one has to advance commissions on the front end. Meaning, that about an one year period of uncertainty will be around regarding one’s real earnings. That is so because someone canceling his/ her orders will lead once made commissions to be back charged. Knowing this fact should lead to the first question, I guess someone should ask: do I want that? Imagine yourself working hard all week, all month long, let’s say for three months in a row, before one gets paid. Further on, just imagine one finding out that after one, three, six, nine or even ten months of hard work his/ her entire efforts put into the system are totally going to be reversed. Because people canceled. Would you not see that as a negative factor?

That was just an example of information that you can use against your competitor. From my point of view, if you are not involved with Pre-Paid Legal but with something else, well Pre-Paid Lead IS then your competition. Period!

I would like to summarize by helping you to learn a very important strategy, so please consider following consistently my following advices:

1. Learn about the strengths and  weaknesses of the Companies you’re interested in;
2. Download the Compensation Plans of those companies AND study them. You can do this by a mere Google Search;

Know more than the people that are in those companies; know more about their company than they know!

You are going to be recognized as a Professional in your area and as a result, you will succeed gaining a tremendous amount of leads for your ultimate business.
